Stewart Field was professional at Dunstable from 1938 to 1970. He featured in major golf tournaments and was well liked by the members. He always took an interest in how the members were playing and would be watching them on the 15th & 16th from his shop window. If they had played a bad shot he was always ready to make comments when they came in off the course.
A fantastic long Par 4, sweeping left to right and slightly uphill. Avoid the several fairway bunkers at all costs. Club up with your shot to the green to avoid the front green bunkers and reach the heart of a long green. All in all just a great hole.
