The three Lyon brothers all became captains of the club; Jack, Walter and Rob. Walter served as treasurer for 1 year, secretary for 5 years, captain and Hon Secretary of The County Golf Union when it was formed. Walter and Tom Moore were always known as the Club’s Greens Committee.
The first of 3 difficult Par 4 holes to start to road home. A slight dog leg left to right over the crest of the hill. A generous tee shot but the left side of the fairway always leaves a better view of all the green. Out of Bounds on the right awaits a tee shot with too much left-to-right shape. A very undulating putting surface where 2 putts is good all day long. Bunkers await an inaccurate approach.
