JUNIOR GOLF LESSONS
Golf lessons are provided by our PGA Professional every year to our junior members, completely free of charge.

THE 1906 CLUB
The 1906 Club is made up of golf clubs that were founded in 1906 and celebrated their Centenary in 2006.
Members of Dunstable Downs can play these courses free of charge.
60 golf clubs were founded in 1906 and so far, 40 Clubs have joined this exclusive club.
There is a real quality in the list of member clubs, as you would expect from any club celebrating its centenary. Bishopsbriggs, Crans-sur-Sierre, Elgin, Fulford, Gorleston, The Glen and Longcliffe, to name just a few.
We are convinced that you will have many happy days taking on the challenges and enjoying the hospitality at these quality heathland, links and parkland courses.

RECIPROCAL GOLF
We have arrangements for reciprocal golf with a selection of clubs in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire, which allow our members to play these courses at reduced green fee rates.

COUNTY CARD
The County Card scheme is administered through the Bedfordshire County Golf Union and enables members of Affiliated Clubs to play at many other courses in England, at members' guest rates.
It is included as part of a member's affiliation fee, at no extra cost.
Counties in the scheme include Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Cheshire, Cornwall, Cumbria, Derbyshire, Devon, Dorset, Durham, Essex, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Herefordshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Lancashire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Lincolnshire, Middlesex, Northamptonshire, Northumberland, Nottinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Shropshire, Somerset, Staffordshire, Surrey, Sussex, Warwickshire, Wiltshire, Worcestershire and Yorkshire.
In addition, Bedfordshire has an agreement with Norfolk, which most other Counties do not.

Members must contact the club they plan to visit in advance, by telephone, to ensure availability and clarify the terms on offer.

THE ASSOCIATION OF JAMES BRAID COURSES
James Braid was a Scottish professional golfer and a member of the Great Triumvirate of the sport, alongside Harry Vardon and John Henry Taylor.He won The Open Championship five times and is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame.
He was also a renowned golf course architect and during his lifetime, Braid was involved in the original design or the redesign of more than four hundred courses, one of which was Dunstable Downs.
At present, The Association of James Braid Golf Courses is made up of over 300 golf courses in the USA and UK, that Braid designed or redesigned. These include Aberdovey,Blairgowrie, Dalmahoy, Gleneagles, Ellesborough, Northants. County, Peterborough Milton, Southport & Ainsdale and Willesley Park.
